stuck
Forgive me if I'm preaching to the converted & / or if this has already been done to death but with Frank Pickles pulling out of the 4 x 4 market I decided to have a shop around & thought I'd post my findings. Although I live in the middle of no where apparently my BB3 postcode is classed as a high risk area so figures may not give a direct comparison for you bloody southerners! Last year's policy with FP cost me around £400 with all mods declared. Adrian Flux wanted over £900. NFU refused to quote because of mods. Performance Direct refused to quote because of "the area" bloody sheep must be getting rabid! A mate of mine insures a race M3 with a company called "Competition Car Insurance" who he thought also insured competition 4x4's & suggested I gave them a call. Turns out that as long as your truck is used for motor-sport (and / or is a support vehicle) and will do limited miles on the public highway (in my case < 3000 miles a year) they do not care what modifications have been made (as long as it's road worthy of course). In my case quote came back at £284 so I'm a happy bunny! I am not connected to the company in any way, just thought it was worth posting as it may save you a few quid! HTH's Mick.
