FridgeFreezer
Since I don't have a manual for the car and my copy of RAVE is out of date compared to what I'm sure I was told last service... the manual says: Engine oil – Td4 engine Use a 10W/40 or 15W/40 oil meeting both ACEA A3 and ACEA B3 specifications However I'm sure my mechanic said that LR issued updated spec and it's now something fully synthetic, pretty sure the oil he used was Carlube Triple R 5w40 Diesel Fully Synthetic. And no I don't trust my memory, or the motor factors' data book, to be bang on. Car is 2001 TD4 (M47 engine)
Orgasmic Farmer
Same engine as the early BMW 320d. Just use a fully synthetic 5/30 like castrol edge or even a 5/40 and you will be fine for 12K miles.
