shotrock
I know alot of members have removed there egr valve. Is it worth doing and does it increase performance. If you have done so then what make would you recommend, what make would you buy. SHOTROCK
Les Henson
EGR's jam in the open position, which clogs the inlet manifold with 'marmite' - thus reducing airflow into the engine. If your EGR is working ok, then you could leave it alone, but it's likely to fail; and give you problems at some point in the future. Blanking kits are all much the same, so about a fiver for a plate, gasket, and a couple of bolts, or make a plate of your own and have enough to buy a pint Les. mrpdude
Be very wary of fitting an egr. New MOT law states that if it was fitted at time of manufacture then it is required to be fitted now. If anything leave the egr fitted and doing its thing but blank off the pipe that leads to the inlet.
DagdaNI
yeah blank it off as they make your engine run less efficient, but leave it looking compleate for the mot boys
