DrRob
Can the rear quarter panel (where tail lights mount) be removed without removing the rear outer wing panel? This bit: http://www.famousfou...php?partID=9509 Thanks! Rob
task
Not very easily, it bolts to the rear wing with about 8 bolts, the bottom two would be accessible from underneath but the other four would not. this is the face it bolts too, with a spreader plate on the wing-side;
SteveRK
I agree, in fact its virtually impossible due to the horizontal ledge thats level with the floor so you cant get up to reach the upper bolts. Removing the rear wing is not a serious job at all. The important bit is to slice all the body sealer at the front (rear door opening) and around the back tailgate area. fozsug
Take off internal trims fold back seats forward, undo seatbelt top mounting and take off trim ,undo screws holding top wing edge on (no 4), drill out rivets where bottom tailgate shuts( no14), undo two 10mm nuts under wheel arch ( no9), carefully cut sealer along top edge and door shut. p76rangie
Depending on the model, there should be a panel on the inside of the rear on the side panels near the rear taillights. There are only a couple of screws holding it on and removing it will give you access to the bolts holding the rear corner to the rear quarter. So, depending on the model, you should be able to remove it without taking off the rear quarter.
