disco-dad
hi everyone, whilst doing my cambelt i noticed that the crankshaft damper behind the crankshaft pulley has a crack in the main part next to the woodruff key slot.i would like to change this part as there is also a groove in the shaft where the oil seal has worn away.does anyone know where i can get one of these. also whilst i'm on,would aftermarket gaskets and front cover oil seal be ok or should i try to get genuine, oil seal i can get but gaskets all seem to be aftermarket ones. thanks Martin
landroversforever
As its a 200tdi part, I'm not sure you will find any new genuine parts very easily. OEM and aftermarket will be available though
fozsug
You can get from here genuine but i dont think you will at the price £ 757,57 for the pulley and damper!!!!! http://www.brit-car.co.uk/search.php?xSearch=err751&submit.x=12&submit.y=14&submit=Search
disco-dad
Think i'll just use the old one.if i hadn't taken it off i would have been none the wiser about the crack.Couldn't believe that price!!! ps just gone onto the site, they do a pattern part for £50 +vat but unsure whether to get it or continue to use what i've got.the crack is quite long but i dont know how long it has been in there, may be worrying for nothing and not sure what would happen if it got worse and failed
