heating up arches and bending or cut them ?

hi, my tyres slightly hit my arches when I go over bumps, is it possible to heat them up and bend them or would I be better to just cut a bit off the bottom at a jonty school boy angle??

I would cut but make sure you dont leave a sharp edge, a 1mm cutting disk on a 4" angle grinder does the job nicely.

Heating and bending will kill the galvi if its coated.

I used a stanley knife to trim mine, draw a line with a ruler, score along the line, then cut properly. It was surprisingly easy to cut.

Remember reading in a mag somewhere that somebody but used a a hot paint stripper type gun to mould them, but couldn't tell you any more than that.

O now I know, I fitted wide terrafirma to mine, the rubber ones will cut but wont be nice to look at, dont think they would bend, if you have plastic they will bend but would be hard to get them uniform.

I just put plenty of weight in the back and let the tyres do the work.

1mm cutting disc does the job perfectly if you have major trimming to do.
