land rover hydraulic system?
farmer_ben replied to farmer_ben's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
Yea you have a good point we run 4 bale carriers which have been set up to carry 72 bales can clear a field pretty quickly also we put them in barns with a 64 bale grab on the front of a jcb (we don't even touch it by hand) yea think I will have to save up and get a nice little 6400 got to keep it john deere really as we run a 6610 6600 2x 3040 2x 2140 3640 and 2 3130 but they are here cutting machines lol was just a thought with the land rover and bale carrier but I can see it being more effort than its worth! -

land rover hydraulic system?
farmer_ben replied to farmer_ben's topic in Defender Forum (1983 - 2016)
Basically the other day I left my 64 bale carrier at a farm I was working at (about 10 miles away)rather that run a tractor to get it I went in My 110 and bought it back on the journey home I thorght wonder if I could use it on here as it was faster and smoother than my john deere 2140 lol -
Hi,I have been thinking for a while about putting hydraulics on my land rover so I could use it on the farm for moving hay bales (64 bale carrier) I just wondered if the land rover hydraulic pump that goes on the transfer box would work this? Any help would be grateful Many thanks, ben
