need4speed
Looking to fit steering column and notice the td5 bulkhead has a strange looking oblong-esque shaped hole where the column passes through it. Spent a little while looking to see if there was a matching shaped grommet/seal but couldnt find anything. What parts am i missing for this? Maverik
Phil, do you mean the tear drop on its side type shape? If it is there's a gasket type affair (more a pad of sponge) that kinda fills it up... MUC7000 Mav
need4speed
Hi Chris Yes thats the hole i mean. Ive had a look at that muc7000 but noticed it was square. Is it just stuffed into that hole round the steering column? Seems a bit heath robinson - even for LR........
Maverik
the pad is like a sandwich between the plate and the bulkhead, and a bit squdges through the teardrop hole next to the steering column hole. seems to work quite well.
