Water problems much larger than first thought!!!

Hi guys,

its me again,

just had some more exploration of my three door commercial, i removed the dog guard and took out the boot floor to find 4 bolt holes with nothing in them just seein daylight at the other end. so i have filled these with some spare bolts. i then notice that the footwells behind the seats, were soaking wet. I started to pull back the carpet after 4 hours of drying did nothing, to find an inch of water which the carpet was sucking up, as i pulled the carpet back it all poured out of the carpet, filling up the well.

three questions:

where could this water be coming from?

how can i get rid of it?

and how is easy would it be to take out the hole carpet and let it dry by the fire after squeezing as much of the water out as possible. (or just by a new one if too far gone)

thanks guys,

theOptimist.

carpets out, being a commercial i've taken the rear wood floor out, and dog gaurd, boot floor was dry, seal around the hardtop was perfect looked at the history from when i bought it and this had been replaced. are there any place near the front that would let water in so far the carpet has filled a 6 ft by 1ft trough by 2 inchs which is ridiculous,

many thanks

nope checked, there is now problem with the actual car and the amount of water found is far to great to be that, the carpet has now been there for 24 hours and still isn't dry, however the trough i put there out of interest of quantity of water now has 5 inches of water and as said before is a 6ft by 1ft trough, going to lock the carpet in a container with a dehumidifier when it arrives to get the last drops out.

cheers
