bluespanner
Sold a series 3 for a mate recently, very tidy but the chassis had had a few patches. Loads of new bits, he decided he wanted £1200 for it so I said I'd put it up for £1500. A bloke rings up for a viewing He turns up and introduced himself as John. He was driving a 300tdi disco with numerous John Craddock stickers, towing an Ifor tri axle. He had a go in the Landy, said the brakes were poor (which they weren't) and that the engine must be knackered because it was breathing so heavily (it wasn't) He said he wanted it to tow a mini digger about because he and his brother are builders He then offered £800, we ended up at £1350 He then insisted that he took the whole V5 and left me with the yellow slip, having filled it in with the name 'John Cradley' (Can you see where I'm going with this) Anyway it ended up on the John Craddock website for £3995 Not bothered about the profit margin but I thought the buying technique was a little underhand! Happyoldgit
That's interesting, are they still advertising the vehicle?
