Dorsetfreelander
Hello I have an 08 reg Freelander which has recently started to make juddering noise (from the engine area) on pulling away (forward or reverse). It's done 85K miles and had an MOT two weeks ago with no advisories. The clutch feels OK so we tried pulling away with the bonnet open and it's not obvious where it's coming from except that the air cleaner assembly seemed to rattle a bit (but not obviously loose). Any thoughts? Top engine mounting seems OK and car seems fine when it's going. Thanks Dennis
defv890
If the air box is loose it can make a surprising amount of noise Remove the battary cover and retry As it rattles on it To refit loosen spring clip Lube rubber mounts and gently push home Hope thus helps
