oh gawd this old chesnut.

the asnwer depends on who you ask mate. this argument has been going on for years on difflock.com. some say its a trailer so it doesnt need MOT etc, others say as an a-frame is a 'recovery method' (their opinion) then it needs MOT insurance etc etc etc

i wouldnt like to say, except to mention i dont know of anyone done for a non road-legal car on an a-frame but i know of lots of people who use them. you'll probably get away with it, but if your legal or not i couldnt say.

Hi All,

If i was to use an "A" frame to collect a LR does the vehicle on the "A" frame need to have an MOT?

Regards Keith

Yes, it will also need to be Taxed & Insured as it will have all 4 wheels on the road, only other way is put it on a transporter trailer or truck.
