reb78
Following some of our discussions on here, it stuck in my mind that my gkn overdrive would probably benefit from a deeper sump and thus higher oil and hopefully cooling capacity. Who might be able to manufacture something like this? I have a sump with cooling fins in mind rather like the Roverdrive lt230 extended sump. Could build in a drain plug for quick oil changes and it would need some sort of internal bracket to accommodate the mesh filter somehow. Tanuki
Everything's possible. Bear in mind that overdrives have pumps: I'm wondering if it would be possible to tap into a pressure-feed and install a remote oil-reservoir? (and maybe an external easier-to-access oil-filter too?) Oooh like your thinking there!!! Ashcroft does a high capacity sump for the LT230 with cooling fins. This one

It's a possibility I suppose. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the bolt on the bottom of the gkn unit was to do with a pump? It looks like it should be the drain plug, but it isn't.
