Overdrive sump

Following some of our discussions on here, it stuck in my mind that my gkn overdrive would probably benefit from a deeper sump and thus higher oil and hopefully cooling capacity.

Who might be able to manufacture something like this? I have a sump with cooling fins in mind rather like the Roverdrive lt230 extended sump. Could build in a drain plug for quick oil changes and it would need some sort of internal bracket to accommodate the mesh filter somehow.

Everything's possible.

Bear in mind that overdrives have pumps: I'm wondering if it would be possible to tap into a pressure-feed and install a remote oil-reservoir? (and maybe an external easier-to-access oil-filter too?)

Oooh like your thinking there!!!

Ashcroft does a high capacity sump for the LT230 with cooling fins. This one

It's a possibility I suppose. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the bolt on the bottom of the gkn unit was to do with a pump? It looks like it should be the drain plug, but it isn't.
