reb78
Not really landy related, but might use it to run tools whilst out and about in the landy..... Anyway, theres a wealth of knowledge on here, so i though i would ask a few questions. I bought this generator last night:http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Petrol-Generator-2Kva/321307527439?_trksid=p5197.m2280&_trkparms=aid%3D333005%26algo%3DRIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D319%26meid%3D4487441929670602645%26pid%3D100068%26prg%3D1175%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D3%26sd%3D321307527439%26clkid%3D4487443136109741764&_qi=RTM1572015at £30 I thought it was worth a shot. I didn't have time to get it running last night and test it.can anyone tell me more about the unit? It's a Kango alternator on it but I can't find any information online about kango generators. There's no plate to confirm its a 2kva either and it looks bigger than other 2kva units I've seen around. Its only a 5hp engine, so around what i would expect for 2kva, and set to run at 3000rpm if that helps at allalso, if I needed spares, can anyone recommend a good company that might stock them
pete3000
2-3kva would be about right for a 5hp engine, likely made for kango (hence the sticker). more likely a mecce-alte or a syncro, Briggs used them quite a bit on their cheaper generators. Spares for engine or alternator? try small engine services, or direct equipment supplies stratford upon avon (google)
