western
235/85 tyres need a 6.5 inch wide rim as the absolute minimum width, a 7 inch would be better also 238/85 don't exist I suspect you mean 235 mm wide tyres I rrun 255/85 BFG MT on 6.5 inch wide genuine 90/110 wolf/ XD steel wheels

Diff
Yes, standard after market modular rims to fit Land Rovers are 7 inch rims. There are some 8 inch modulars around, but they are not common. Standard White steel Land Rover steel wheels are 5.5 inch and too narrow for correct fitment of 235/85 x 16 tyres. Wolfs and 130 rims are 6.5 inch wide. 235/85 x 16 tyres should be fitted to rim widths between 6 and 7 inches. 6 inch rims are an obscure size for Land Rover fitment and not at all common. Therefore wolfs, 130s and 7 inch modulars, 8 spokes etc and most alloys (7 inch) for land rovers are all fine for 235/85 x 16s. Regards, Diff.
