Tractorboy16
hi, am building a hybrid at the mo but i have a 2.8td izusu lump that has a V8 conversion plate fitted to it, However, i was wondering what gearboxes were fitrted to the V8, I know the LT85 was but what other long stick versions were that i can fit in a defender /series hybrid or is this the only one, Cheers James

Tractorboy16
Cheers Which one would be a good option for the hybrid, is being coupled up to a 2.8td izusu lump. are any of them stronger than the others, any pointers i need to be warry off? cheers James
muddy
The santana lt85 is by far the strongest but does suffer from worn bearings with grumble but last for ages, quite a heavy ish box cant race through the gears like an lt77 but is a lot stronger.
