trod Posted September 9, 2014 Share Posted September 9, 2014 Hi to all,I have a 2001 td5 disco and on the dash under the two clocks,speedo/revs there is a M and S inside of a cog/wheel.normaly they go off after starting but now they stay on flashing.can any one tell me way this is. ejparrott Posted September 9, 2014 Share Posted September 9, 2014 I think I've been here with a friends TD5 one winter. IIRC there's a switch or a plug and socket down one side of the gearbox, passenger side I think. If this gets wet you get these symptoms. Suggest strip and clean electrical connections, you may also need to read and reset any error codes to clear the lights. This one was in the snow and it went in to limp mode, strangly it cleared after a few minutes and they got home fine and it never did it again. I could only assume that a bit of snow had got up there and got in the connection, but the heat from the gearbox cleared it alone. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
