rtbarton
I've been given a SIP Topmig 195 welder that needs some TLC and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the six positions on the selector switch relate to?
LandyManLuke
lucky bugger! won't they be the power selection? 25 - 195 A
Astro_Al
If it's the one labelled 'current' as per this piccy: http://www.toolsnstuff.co.uk/product_info....b1ee2d40d1ccd82 I'm guessing your question has been answered? There are two twisty jobbers, the one on the right is the wire feed speed, the one on the left is the warp-speed selector switch. Turn it clockwise to increase volume up to 11. Looks like it's a '6 discrete positions' selector rather than an infinitely adjustible 'volume knob' type one. Hope that helps? Al. P.S. - I'm sure I've seen pics of your welds? No? (I.e. you can weld?). Maybe I'm confuzzled.
rtbarton
Yes, I realise what the switches do, I need to know how much current each step on the current switch represents. There doesn't seem to be any markings on the facia. Apparently it sets the wire speed according to the current selected and the RH knob fine tunes it. No I don't think you've seen any of my welds, certainly not if I can help it !!!!!!!!!!!!
