Guest WALFY
I'm after some sockets for my motor and a mates. If I'm correct the nut on the bottom of the steering box is 34mm, and the hub nut is 52mm. What is the old school size for these sockets. Before you ask my mate doesn't like the hub nut thing he has, says it's to big and unwieldy. The reason I ask is I went to a lovely shop called Canadian Tire today and they have everything including loads of sockets sold individualy. Guest WALFY
As always Ralph. Never short of the answer. Wil now try and get them. Snow over here is great. Dry powdery snow. A quick brush off and the car is clear, no slush on the road as they use no salt. Only another 4 days till the loooong flight home.

roguevogue
34mm is 1inch & 11/16ths52mm is almost 2inches & 1/4qtr. I prefer to think that 34mm is 1 5/16" and that 52mm is 2 1/16" I have just measured my hub nut socket and it is indeed 52mm AF, the legend reads 1 1/4" Whitworth. DOH should have put 1 inch & 11/32nds not 11/16th & slightly missread the other by 1/16th Cheers RV for correcting it, I'll read it correctly next time
