FoxyTd5
Despite new VDO fuel pump, fuel filter, recent new VDO air mass unit, injector harness upgrade, ECU dry & clean etc My Disco 2 Td5 hesitates to respond and accelerate at bends and junctions after lightly breaking. Foot needs to go further down but not increasing revs too much before catch up. 175k on the clock. EGR not yet blanked. Relatively new hoses and all appear good. Any ideas? Could it be fuel regulator or injectors? Nowhere suitable inside to work on her so have to work outside. Thanks.
fotorat
are all your pipes good from air flow meter to intercooler- they are well hidden on the passenger side. if one is split or you have a loose jubilee - that can cause your type of problem
arf
I think it could be the turbo accuator solinoid. Changing that (£25 part ) certainly transformed mine . For further transformations I blanked the EGR and put in a larger intercooler.....
sierrafery
make sure that the EGR is not clogged but as long as it's there remove and clean the MAP/IAT sensor cos it's full of muck, if the wastegate rod is free and turbo pipes in good shape the next suspect is the throttle position sensor which could give you that symptom, IMO wastegate modulator failure would usually create overboost symptoms to cut out at higher revs not lack of acceleration at lower revs
