LandyOwner63
I have an ex-MoD 1987 FFR Land Rover 90 that needs a new radiator. However, I'm not sure which radiator will fit. I think that I have narrowed it down to either an ESR78 or an ESR79. What is the difference between the two as I have found an ESR78 on eBay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321898825893 Any idea which type I should go for before bidding on the one on eBay? Many thanks. western
better to have your existing radiator fitted with a new core, did mine a while ago, cost me 140 quid. the ebay one looks correct for your engine/vehicle, if you don't have the oil cooler hoses just blank the fittings off. Litch
I enquired at my local rad specialist about having mine re-cored about 3-years ago (300TDi) and he said that for something like my 90, good replacements were so cheap nowadays that he would not be able to be competitive on price. Sure enough, I got a Bearmach OE copper / brass item (no plastic end-tanks) for something under £120.
mickeyw
If it's any use to you, I have a surplus rad from my V8 110. It's a full width, water only unit. In very good condition, only removed because I fitted one with an oil cooler. Gatwick area. £75 if you're interested.
