chris2010
any ideas. my truck has recently had gwyn lewis hydro assist fitted. I was out on a play day today and noticed the steering to be heavier than usual. shortly after check fluid. I had a leak. the union that screws in to the top of the pas box (in place of the bleed nipple) was leaking so tried to tighten it up again and wouldn't tighten removed the union to find the threads had stripped where the union goes into the box. I was hoping I could just swapped the top offloor another spare box . but I have removed the 4 bolts and the centre nut . but cant seem to shift the top cover . any ideas what I'm doing wrong ? the other idea is to tap the bleed nipple hole aon a bigger union size? any help would be greatly appreciate thanks
pat_pending
The adjuster is attached to the sector shaft and threaded into the top cover, once the lock nut and cover bolts are removed just turn the adjuster clockwise and the cover will come up. You'll need to wind it all the way through to release it.

chris2010
wind this clockwise and it will then lift out the top cover
pat_pending
Yes. The threaded stud with the hex insert. turn it clockwise and it will push the top off as it turns.
