Help needed with a knock on the front

I have a discovery 2 td5 and I have knock/clunk on the front end when I hit a small bump that also kicks in the TC. I ha e replaced the front shocks, anti roll bar bushes, panhard rod bushes, top and bottom ball joints and hubs but still getting it. What should I check/do/replace next?

Hi, You've not mentioned the anti-roll bar drop links. Also worth checking the prop shaft joionts.

Do you think I would be better off replacing the drop links as replaced all the other stuff and will check the prop shaft joints in a min. What would I be looking for?

Don't just replace the links,check them first.

Get someone else to rock the car while you hold your hand over each of the arb link ball joints in turn. You should be able feel any with play.

Have you checked that damper mounts are tight ?

Another cause could be radius arm rear bushes ( at the connection to the chassis).

Have someone kick or prize each front tyre hard backwards ehile you look at the bush rubber. If you can see significant movement, the bushes could be knac******ed.

I wanted to replace the links anyway as slowly going thru bits to replace so all should be like new.

What do u mean by damper mounts?

If we get a break in the weather today I will try to check the radius arm bushes.

Where the dampers are retained in the turret / tower (1 bolt) & to the axle (2 bolts)
