tegrey2012
When ever I hit a small bump I got a knock/clunk that licks in the TC. I have replaced the front shocks, arb bushes, hubs, ball joints and its still happening. Any idea on what to check next? Or what to replace? Tanuki
Before wasting money and time randomly replacing any other parts - get the fault-codes read! It both worries and perplexes me when people start replacing parts *before* reading the diagnostic codes: that's rather like booking yourself in for a kidney/liver/brain transplant, hip-replacement or appendix-removal before asking your doctor what might actually be wrong with you! In this case, a fault-code reading will at least tell you which corner of the vehicle is the problem.

Normally I would completely agree, many resort to the parts shotgun in blind panic, replacing healthy parts and not fixing the problem. In this case it wouldn't suprise me if there are no codes logged. It sounds like the SLABS ecu is just doing its job,the OP doesn't say the trio are on. Something is making one of the wheelspeed sensors show a higher frequency waveform than the rest, which it thinks is wheelspin.A complete inspection of all the suspension, all four hubs and driveshafts is where I would start. tegrey2012
Had it on a reader and nothing came up so not just randomly replacing things for the fun of it and also its not wasting money as once al done everything will new so will have a tight smooth car to drive. When I bought the car it had the 3 amigos but that was sorted due to an abs sensor and been months now with out them returning. The problem seems to be the front right hand side but I wouldn't say it for sure as it does happen when hit any bump. What's the best way to know if the radius arm bushes are buggered as that would be the next to replace as not much left on the front to replace. sierrafery
The question is what hubs did you use, cos if it was some cheap chinese stuff it's possible that the reluctor ring to have less slots then there will be a missbalance in reading between the front and rear axle and that erratic TC behaviour is the symptom, that's why no faults are recorded and no 3 amigos cos the stationary self check is OK just that there will be an input difference at the same speed in motion which it seems that passes the admitted tolerance when you hit a bump... anyway, make sure that the tyre pressures are well balanced too and i hope you have 4 x similar tyres
tegrey2012
the TC is kicking on because of a knock/clunk that I cant pin point so looking for advice on what to check. the hubs were purchased on advice from a landrover specialist and they were purchased to see if it would stop the knock but it didn't so its not to do with the hub.
