Cornish Rattler Posted June 18, 2016 Share Posted June 18, 2016 Hi guysIs it ok to start and run the engine up for a while to check for leaks and general running of the new to me engine as my original pipe, pipe that came with the engine and the new disco pipe I have just bought all won't fit due to wrong fittings on the pipes to the disco pump ( Def 90 to Disco 200tdi engine ) as I really need to run the engine up and I don' t have a belt long enough to bypass the pump or alternator Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Team Idris Posted June 18, 2016 Share Posted June 18, 2016 I would put some oil in the lines and stuff the pressure into the return at the very least. Ideally I would poke the old pressure pipe into the reservoir filler. Then you can do what you like as far as running and not worry.
