Speedo cable and drive gear

Recommended Posts

hi all

I'm fitting a discovery transfer box (From 300tdi disco ) to a defender 200/300tdi hybrid. The transfer box is electrical, I've removed the sensor and left with the square peg were the speedo cable should slot in. The cable square seems slightly big to fit in, is this normal and if that's the case what do I do? Am I able to either file down the end of new cable to slot in or what I don't wanna do and take out drive gear. If so what colour gear do I go for the speedo cable (265, 75, r16 tyres)

Many thanks

nope, either make a adaptor so you can use the original engines temp sender or contact Steve parker land rovers they do a suitable sender for tdi into older vehicle.

according to this parts info item 16 you already have the correct speedo gear fitted http://www.albrit.de/UNI.cfm?PAGE=804443&SPRACHE=EN click + to read part number [non gulf states]
