One possibility might be fuel leaking into the cylinders either from a dud injector or past the copper washers that seal the base of the injector, though the latter is more likely to be accompanied by other problems i.e. non start. I have 3 cars doing the same thing and i have also taken the head off on one of them and changed the injectors and seals and copper seals too all was fine but problem still there!
