Does a v8 P38's power steering pump produce more flow / pressure t

As per title,

I've got a challenge next weekend and my zf74 is pretty much kaput ! I'm getting about 500psi out of it (testing it against it's pressure relief valve).

So....will a p38's v8 pump be the same or more than a RRC v8's ?

Reading rave the p38 seems to go up to about 1500ish but the rrc to about 1100.

Cheers

G,

I have a P38 4.0l in my RRC, P38 pump running the stock RRC 4-bolt box, after the engine swap I believe the steering was MARGINALLY lighter, this may not help at all, but if it doesn, great :)

Oh, and the standard RRC pipes bolt straight up to it.

Cheers.

The zf74 has an m16x1.5 thread output from what i can see. This is the same as the rrc pump i fiddled with quickly last night.

Dan, i don't have a dirty td5 so can't check :P

p.s. Just noticed, the title i wrote in the box hasn't all been displayed - it's cut the last few letters off.

Tested a couple vehicles today, with a closed output - just the gauge :

P38 4.6 v8 zf pump - 1,500psi

RRC 3.9 v8, with the cylinder style pump - 800-900psi

So i'll fit a p38's pump tomorrow :)
