Matt / Barney: Please let me know when you need me for tree trimming and setup assistance.
Nick speak to Daf about the tree trimming, he knows what needs doing, he was on about doing it one weekend. Set up will be saturday am, I was going to get you two to do the perimiter signs as you know where they are.
We need somebody to staff the gate? they will be there most of the day? somebody who wouldnt want to watch would be ideal? any ideas?

We are looking for a number of Marshals to help us with our winch challenge events The Clubman Challenge www.clubmanchallenge.co.uk Series to be held at the following locations :-
Round 1 Holymoorisde Derbyshire 18th April 2010
Round 2 Nant Y Ffrith 16th May 2010
Round 3 Mow Cop Staffordshire 24th October 2010
Round 4 Buildwas Nr Ironbridge,Shropshire 21st November 2010
The events run 10:00 till 16:00 and there are 40 punches laid out on the venue, the competitors have punch cards on both sides of the vehicle so that amounts to 80 punches for the days competition.
What we need help with is people to watch the sections and help run the special stages.
In return you will get the best position in the house for watching the event and get to see the action first hand. We cant offer you a days off road driving but we can offer you the chance to see some of the top challenge competitors taking part in 4 challenge evets.
If you would like to help please email Matt on the following link Email Matt
to see some of the photos from last years events click here
Please note that you will be helping with a motorsport event

Would anybody like to join us for round 2 that wasnt at round 1?
-
Can someone tell me how I ended up filthier than anyone else? Did I do the same challenge as everyone else?
The washing machine is still recovering from the deryshire mud overload when shorts, teeshirt, socks and boots were carefully inserted yesterday by 'er indoors....
When we finished and handed in the punch cards, I could see no-one who had more mud and clag on them than me! I'm gonna blame Daf for finding the muddiest, wettest and most boglike punches on which to finish me off!
Very nice to finish where we did, complete surprise to both of us!
thanks to Matt and his team of helpers for a very enjoyable event. The next one won't have anywhere near the 'texture' of this one!! Unless they send us into......no, they can't, can they?
Anyway - for those camping at Nant-y-ffrith, for some good food and proper ale, go to the Tyn-y-capel pub in Minera (LL113DA) which is about 2 mile away, or for more ordinary watering holes there is the Kings Head pub (LL115UT) just (sort of) within staggering distance....
Thanks Nick glad you both enjoyed yourselves, At the last site visit at Nant-y-Ffrith Daf volenteered you for a job in preperation for the event and the troops arriving it involes the green/blue thing in the back of your car

We did slightly better than expected considering the amount of time spent on the car park fixing electric cooling fan issues and melted wiring, what makes it worse its a top of the range Pacet ProFan and thats now the second one thats gone, just got it working then POP it would go again so a proper pain, if I'd have put old Mondeo one's or something similar I feel sure they'd still be OK.
But great day, and good punches on a small site thourghly enjoyed it, good fair Marshalling, and a good bunch of competitors.
Thanks to the Welsh boys for the "Oggie" it was superb, stand by for some fresh "Oatcakes" on your home ground.
Look forward to seeing you all next month, thanks to all involved again, well done Matt.
Thanks for the feedback chris glad you enjoyed it
