I am running tough country 11" shocks with a Llama 4x4 kit as my daily drive and pay & play / greenlaning toy and they seem fine on road and excelent offroad, but I am far from an expert
-
as has been mentioned it will be oversized for one pallet so you need to mention that to the courier as you will be charged more as I was having issues with this with a shipping a rear axle
-
I keep menaing to a general set of these hammer on reverse thread babies for general nut / bolt removal
-
took mine off today
as has been said loosen nut feet against footwell abd push with your legs whilst wiggling side to side and it will come off
oh and iff removing your wiper switch it WILL explode sending springs and th litTle brass pin flying and costing you £10 for a new one, guess how I know
-
-
I put a ruber mat over the hole in the footwell and ftted new doors that dont flap at the top due to rusted out frames
Actual heating is a luxury and a distant dream
-
nasty things, keep them off

That sucks mate, I am getting more and more paranoid, about my 90 with all these thefts, not to mention tat I found out the other day that my locks open with any key. Nice one Land Rover will be getting that removable steering boss on payday!
I assume Landys are nicked for parts as they are hardly joyridingmobiles for the hoody scum
I hope you get it back mate
-
try the insa Sahara's they work really well in the mud and handle surprisingly well on road
-
I am getting a snap-off removable steering boss kit for mine as that seems to be a very visual deterent and effective at stopping them running off with it if they do have a go.
Defender locks are a joke though

have you got a home for the 1.6 tbox ?
lol
that must be the worlds fastest bagsy, it isn,t even off
-
doesn't the 3 bolt use imperial threads where the 4 and 6 use metric and can be swapped without having to get custome hoses made up (you will need metric one end and imperial the other if you do a 3 to 4 bolt swap).
I am running a 6 bolt without much issue but I can see reciepts for 3 replacement boxes in the paperwork I got with my landy which does seem to suggest they aren't that tough

DON'T DO DIY
so chopping a landy roof and doing all the relevant fab' work is fine but a bit of DIY is a no no
Or you do what I do and just drive in to the garage and let the car "shape" the up and over door to a nice curved profile!

I have just got the bits off that ebay chap to do mine
Firstly there is no standard breather on the crankcase or bell housing so you pop in a 1/4 bsp push fitting in them instead of wading plugs so you need 2 of those, the axles and the gearbox and transferbox all use 1/8 bsp fittings so you need 4 of those (you already have axle ones so you only need 2).
I have elected to use 5 T pieces to connect them all together and have a 1/4 bsp stud fitting to connect to my air intake

some one has to....
....how did you lose your flange?????
-
Wouldn't this just add to air pollution?? I can imagine this old Landy belching out black smoke - I have no idea what the emissions are like on old chip fat, does anyone else??
My mate runs 50-50 veg oil that he gets new for 80p a litre from a wholesaler and when we go green laning if I am behind him I get sooooo hungry from the smell of the fat I have to find chips pretty damn quick!

A photo write up that could go in the archive would be cool as ther is lots of intrest

After I swapped my front hubs to some 300tdi ones and binned my old ones I noticed I have one steering stop missing.
Does anyone know what thread it is so I can get another one?
Ta muchly

You have a radio in yours!! You don't know your born
I find radio 200tdi works very well without an arial

I will have a look at mine as it blows like an asthmatic pensioner at the moment I have to put the fan to max and then push and wiggle it a bit more than that past where it should stop to get a wisp of heat
-
I got a lovely pair off JST as mine hinged on the door skin as there was no lower frame left to make the actual hinge work
Keep your eyes out for a second hand pair, lots of people swap out for series doors for challange / trial use so ther are normal a fair few about

Mmmm, let us know how it goes. My cappings are rusting through at the top of the centre bulkhead, behind my seats
indeed, my cappings are nasty

firstfour are the way to go, fantastic to deal with and no waiting for shipment unlike guardian.

Is it just because of where you are? If so can't someone over here buy them and ship them out?
