  1. thanks a lot Robertspark

I don't think the NAS on your picture have the same cover, but the idea is good I will try to found some thing, I will prefer found the good parts, or jut a picture discovery front cover with this water hose

for the T oil, I have listen, this parts is not very good in aluminium, but like your parts must be iron, I perfer, now, just know if I can put it on the serpentine cover ( little space on this cover), somebody do it ??

for the oil radiator hose, I would like to know if this is the same "plug" on a serpentine cover and Vbelt cover

I hope I am more clear in my sentence

  2. don't appologies, you give me a respone ; ) but I think you don't know my engine, this is a 4.6 l , so the crankshat can receive this cover, after this is my théorie from a poor frog eater .........

my problem is for the connection water circuit and oil ( for the gauge what I will keep)

I am agrre , my english is poor, but I try here because, in my country (french, francia, frog guy) , I have not response, so, I try to found an answer in your island ; ) and this your country who buil the LOTUS 7, my dreammmmmmmmmm, if I drive a plate on day, but now, I drive a LR, (and not a Dacia or renault scenic of sheat)

  3. just do it ...........FF I do it but no response (but many read) .............and I would like of down just advice ........

I am not sure my sentence (in the up) is correct or will be good understand ...............more learn at school my teacher said ................she is right ....................

who come in holliday in BOURGOGNE IN FRENCH WITH GOOD VINE END GOOD LUNCH, not same your poor country ........................ humor ............just humor don't bless me ; )

  4. Hi, I would like put this front cover on my V belt engine

    img_2910.jpg
    img_2910.jpg
    img_2911.jpg
but a lot of question and advice
my car is a 90 so I need to know
-what is the good hose for serpentine pump to my 90 radiator ??
-I will keep the admission pipe of the engine's picture , so for the heater, on hose start by the plenium, but after , the return pass by a rigid hose behind the tensiometre belt, and after , where it go ????
-to, I want put my oil gauge on the cover, but on this serpentine cover, there is on out just for the oil signal, how found a second out ?
-can I keep my trigger whell for the new dumper ?
-if you can tell me if the out of oil radiator hose on the v belt pump are the same the serpentine cover ?
thanks, I hope be in the good section
and for the moment I wash all the parts ...........don't be affraid, my engine is on this post for another info
  5. Hi, I would like to convert my v belt to serpentine

I have a serpentine cover (all the engine) who came a v8 discovery 1 with the cover for a distributor

    so, my question

the hose for the oil radiator, mine v belt have a sandwich plate for the radiator oil, but on the new cover, the inlet and out are direct on the cover, so is this the same nut/bolt (I don't say the term in english) for my hose ???

    another question :

    on the water pump,

my v belt have a inlet in the plenium and out on behind the water pump for interior heat radiator

on the serpentine, i have not out behind the water pump, I have a solid hose who down behind the alternator, but after where I must go ????????

to, can I keep my inlet manifold or I must take the 3.9 l discovery ? it have not the same inlet for the water circulation, ( and the trumpet inlet are diffenret to , I think )

thanks a lot, if you not understand , i will try with pics, and I understand my poor english

to, for my MS, can I keep my trigger wheel ? what support for my trigger wheel sensor ? and support for the edis ?? and if I have forget anything

ps: if your answer can be short and clear, that's better for me

and my schorkel is terminated, I have do this with a very good friend, inlet 90 inox or stainlees in your language

  6. Your oil should not be circulated to the cooler at oil temperatures of less than 80C. Most systems have an oil stat either in the sandwich plate on the pump or in the pipwork off the pump to the cooler. The oil temp should be ideally kept between 80 - 104C (according to the castrol boffins). Oil doesn’t really work well below 80C ........... that’s why in the UK vehicle emission’s are checked at the annual test with the oil temp at 80c or above.

Fitting a 'stat' sandwich plate will restore the pressure to its former values as it will be just pumping to the engine during the oil warm up period.

Changing the PRV setting by placing washers under the springhead is a bodge and probably wont have much effect as the actual pump pressure is not reaching the PRV opening pressure.

The PRV plunger is a known fault with the rover pump and can sometimes stick due to scoring in the PRV bore. This is easily fixed with a dremel (or die grinder) and a light polishing mop. Using a tadpole valve can help, but even these stick if the scoring is bad.

can you explain me what you do with dremel on the prv ? (because i want put a tadpole, and I love the another solution)

what is the good pressure cold and hot for a rover v8?

and if the original sandwich plane (3.9l vogue) is thermostatic ?

    thanks a lot

  7. Hi all, now I have found the time to do with a very good friend my schnorkel, and BMC OTA air filter

    this is great,

i have win 2 point on my afr gauge, so it was to learn,

I have use tuner studio, and this is better, but, there is a but .......

the engine is beautifull in horse, but i want more torque, if you can help me, thanks

PS: when I am in WOT, lambda gauge is on 13.5 afr

  8. maybe I have not all understand the thread , but Like FF, the fuel pump solution be worried me

when I have a RRC carbu and 4.6l, I have try to put on a HOTwire system and a external fuell pump HP, ...........never start, to much pressure, and a bad regulator fuel pressure after market,

I think, for the first start, you will must try with a genuine RRC hp pump and a Genuine regulator, this would be the most simple to begin to run good,

  9. I have found the message from Paul,

    9.75/1

    his message before my answer

    "

We have a top hat linered cylinder block with crankshaft installed ready to install the conrods and pistons.
We can either install 9.35:1 CR or 9.75:1 CR Pistons
There is no cost difference however the high compression piston will provide more power and will work better with LPG if this is something you plan to install in the future.
Please confirm as soon as possible. "
you can read this is not my english language :hysterical:
    and the last response
"We will install the high compression approx 9.75:1 CR pistons as advised."
  10. yes , i am worried to have too much advance,

so, this is a 4.6l, with HC piston, (tunerv8) , i don't know the compression , but i have composite gasket, and 3.9l head but cutting like the 4.6 head (dimension)

sorry i have not the real compression ratio, and sorry for the late response, again dad this week end, so I have drink to JD ; )

I think try to down my table at 30 max, to try, when i could , because now, the time is little

    thanks for help

  11. The language barrier strikes again!

    Your previous post about "autotune":

1.I think you are asking "must I set EGO correction to 0 when using auto-tune?"

The answer is NO, Autotune can only work when the EGO correction is active, and in the places where correction is happening.

Auto-tune watches the EGO correction value, when the O2 voltage crosses the set-point (~0.5v) it notes how much EGO correction % was used at that moment to get 14.7:1 mixture.

    2. You are asking about AFR tables, is this within the Megasquirt settings (target AFR) or the target table in megatune / tunerstudio?

With NB you cannot use the "target AFR" table in the megasquirt ECU itself (where the ECU adjusts to the AFR table) as that requires a wideband O2 sensor.

MLVV has a target AFR table for its VE-Analyze function, it uses the same method as Auto-Tune to find EGO correction @ 14.7:1, then uses maths to adjust the fuel map to hit the target AFR.

ok, I have understand, I think ..... :hysterical:

so , work with tunerstudio (as me) is the same that MLV or Megatune,

I will stay on Tunerstudio, because I have the french version (better for me, but not when I try to read your post and found the translator)

just, my advance table , like my precedent message #236 , affraid me, because it is up 28 ° after 2500 rpm ...........normal ??

a peace or advice , please

  12. The language barrier strikes again!

yes, this is the biggest problem for me .......

thanks for the answer, i will try to understand what you explain, because in english and my poor language , some time this is not the same with google traduc ..........

but, thanks a lot to help me to understand MS

if you can to give me the answer for my lasted question ; ) thanks a lot,

and sorry again for my language

to i "tune" my engine with tunerstudio, not megatune, if this is important

  13. Hi, I begin to try to "tune" my VE table, (i try to finish my house before use my toy)

i have use tunerstudio and the fonction "autotune", my table have be very modified to the down, but i have not put the correction ego at 0

can you confirm me if I must put the correction ego to 0 or not ??

    thanks a lot

to, how work this system ? it try to go near the afr table ?? i have a NB

    thanks for help
