  1. i used to have a tom tom but it died on me so i got a garmin nuvi 255w with full euro mapping and as said above the address input is not the best(you have to tell it if your looking for addys in wales for example)and while it works ok i have known it send me some silly ways to places (even different ways to the same place!!) so i will be going back to tom tom when this one packs up

  2. Cool, that's not as bad as what I thought then!! Hope it is that. Just worth cleaning the earth strap that goes to the starter motor then? Strange thought as it worked yesterday!

it was prob colder this morning meaning the starter was working harder to turn it over tho

  3. my 265,s had no trimming on the rrc

and my mate has 255 65 16 on a stock disco so i would go for the 265,s so it looks the part from the off

as for settling in they dont drop much at all chap but then the rrc does have the boge shock on the ball joint so they might a little on a disco

  4. i replaced mine too, and the squealing came back in under 200 miles. from memory it is a 6203 bearing i think, but it is sealed both sides. google simply bearings and you can get them there better and cheaper than ebay.

anyway, the fix i found was to fit a washer in 9 o'clock position behind the tensioner and bolt it tight. it stopped the squealing straight away and i have several thousand miles under it and the engine now lives in another disco too.

or a penny coin in the right thickness too :)

  5. hi and welcome

to be fair both sound fairly normal

a disco is a big heavy car and isnt built for racing starts so does upset them a little and the r380 gearbox isnt the smoothest one in the world so give it a oil change and monitor it but dont worry too much ;)
