i work in a garage and use the ministry approved emmisions machines for mot purposes and they give lambda readings as part of a mot cat test, also co2 hcppm at idle fast idle and 2nd fast idle P.S. Sorry for the high jack V8bobber

True but due to the information you have to put into the computer it knows that its a V8 and will to a degree compensate for the fact of there being 2 oxygen sensors so should still show up

i'd have to agree with looking for air leaks, also idle control vales are noutorious for causing irractic idles, as this happened on my omega. best way to tell if theres a fault with your oxygen sensor is to take it to a garage and ask them to check the emmisions for you, as this will then give you a definitive answer, also are there any leaks in the exhaust system as this can cause uneven idle Cheers Shaun

ZF i was under the impression it was a ZF4HP22 sorry yes i meant gear driven( please forgive me as i am new to all this) here's the ebay Item number: 200265368737 Have i got the wrong box????? will it work in my '92 3.9 V8? Cheers Shaun

I have just purchased a good condition gear box, Its a ZF 4 speed auto, But there are no markings on the gearbox to say this,also it has a chain driven transfer box, where as mine has a viscous unit (i am lead to belive). If so are they interchangeable?? Cheers Shaun

due to the fact i have no forwards or reverse gears in either hi or low range box it feels like its holding but theres no drive any clues? Cheers Shaun

Here's my standard RRC that i have had for about 3 weeks, she was lovely to drive till the auto box went south ...I have a few plans for her i want to lift her and then do some light off roading to start with and also add a breather kit and waterproof the electrics then see how it goes and then find some more to do to her Cheers Shaun

when undoing the brake pipe union, use a brake spanner as it will reduce the chances of rounding the nut, as sais earlier soak in wd40 or such like for a cpl of days and just go gently, don't rush it and take care, at work if they are seized solid we use heat to free them( a hand held blow torch would suffice) just enough to warm the nut to a redish colour HTH Shaun
