Have you seen those new type of riding body projectors !!! ?? The ones that inflate when you fall off a horse,, was going to lend him one of them
-
Well, after helping set up for the last couple of years,, Time to join in the fun this year,,, Entry's gone in
-
I'll be there, thinking of going up Sat pm depending on weather..........
What's the weather got to do with it !!!
-

You have the winch bumper type A bar,, so that's OK,
Just need a winch and winch bumper to go with it
Hard to tell, but looks like you have Air Con ??,, so get the correct bumper,, Off to find a picture of my similar set up ???
-
im trying my best to get a pass mate
if i get 1 it will cost me as i will have had 5 weekends away in 6
Tell me about it Nobby,, can beat that,, 6 Sept is clear,, i think at present
-
Excuse me,, missing Torbay Regatta for this event,,
Helping out, unless you have me earmarked for a job ???
-
Will Walfy be wearing a lid this year? or will he have an adult supervising him
Brookers
No,, he's going to be assigned his own H&S Marshall
-
Store draw for me,,
One of the best bits of kit i bought,, Now in its 4 Defender, via a couple of Sports and a D3 !!!
-
May be cheaper over their
Can speak for that reciver type,, but the standard ball fitting, same as pictured,, for the Discovery 3 are around £300+ mark !!
-
I do wonder how they would stand up to metal fatigue from something like carrying a spare wheel on rough roads.
Very well so far,, regularly carriers 12 wheels and tyres + other spares, and awning,, when used as a chase car
Done a few trips to Spain/Portugal/Morocco etc, load with roof tent, stores box awning etc etc,,
and still no sign of fatigue or wear, bar not as shinny as when new !!!!
-
Bear in mind the only rack that will stand up to regular use is a galvanised one.
Or a Alloy,, Patriot one,, Mine must be 5/6 years old now,,
All the racks used for the G4 vehicles were floored,, as per dunc picture (2003/2006 events)
As Bog says,, you can still get the G4 type rack from LR around £850/900 mark !!!

and eventually found that injector seals were u/s, it allows compression gasses back in to the fuel system, got em changed and don't miss a beat now.
Sorry Djinn,,, only just see this,, interesting,,
Found the dipstick level very high,, with both oil and diesel, so suspecting either the seals, or worse, the head,,
Fitted the seals midweek, so lets hope we are both correct ???

Thanks Andy, maybe the next job !! Have been read once with NFF !!!
But now i can reproduce the fault, something may be stored, when i see the D2 again, will also check the wastegate
-
Shaun,,
Think Bob,, Team Crag is short of one at present ???
-
Going on
The fuel pump was sounding like a strangled cat, so have fitted a new one of those, and still no better, but at least runs quite now !!!
Check the pressure reg, and no leaks
But still, loads of smoke when provoked, and engine rattle ???
-
Most entries from Innovate are in and paid in full , But we have had a change of team members so all to be revealed on Sat along with payment from our coach Tim Jones .
2 crews to pay on Saterday, then all sorted, and confirmed form Innovate 4x4.com
-
Injector harness would be my guess Tim,
Thought that as a possabilty ?? Bone dry the engine end ??
Now were to "borrow" another ECU
-
Had a search but nothing coming up
Have a friend with a 2002 D2 TD5 Auto,,
Occasionally when giving it some throttle, its feels like it goes down onto 3/4 cylinders, plus quite a loud "diesel knock" along with a fair amount of black smoke
Could be a week until it happens again,, Have got it to do it for me, by using the sport mode, and giving it a larger amount of throttle Fuel filter just been change, but no difference
Anyone had similar before ???
TIA
-
Wow!!!
I'll knock £60 off that each for unpainted ones or £90 off for non-beadlocks unpainted, and I've got them in stock.
(Even cheaper if you collect them)
Adrian
And a proper job
Should have change my non beadlock Macks years ago to beadlocks, very pleased how they worked at Manby,,
Ran Mack 5 for the past 5/6 years,, after bending disco steels, Modula's, and a wolf rim,, NEVER had one problem with a Mack 5
Power coating costs £35 a piece, + vat down here,,
5 x black Mack 5 rolled rims coming up for sale soon

Thanks Nobby,, Nathan,,
Just going through them,, ,, Some excellent shot's !!
Will mail you with pic number's later Nobby

Had a real good event, no major problems, and took things steady bar a couple of snapped winch lines, and stuffing the steering guard in the arms !!! ,,
Just the 3 of us in Team C,, and the pleasure to be teamed with Stefan Pracht in that superb machine of his,, really was a pleasure to watch,,
and Mr Marsden, who was on a mission ,,,, so JST and myself were up against it in our group !!!!
Both Jim and Stefan did some amazing stages,, but i don't think we disgrace ourselves too much,, against either,
We did our arena test lunchtime Saturday, with ourselves going first, and keeping it simple,, Jim then used us as anchor point, and did the second section on only the left hand wheels only, not quite making the finish box before putting the 90 on its side, with a yard to go !!!
Then it was Stefan's turn,, drove the first section,, did a long circuit round the RTI ramp, using all the 400 hp ?? and did a 360 roll, and drove the last section, as though it was not their ,, Hope Stefan has a speedy recovery
Andy,, Thanks for some great stages, sorry we did not stop for the presentations,,
Well done Jim and Chris on the win,, and Marc for the second place i believe ??
James did another sterling job of dragging the Rangie round the stages for 3 days,,
and ours Marshall's (Team C) were just spot on !! Thanks guys !!!

The new one so far in 7.5k miles, has had 2 new headlamps - adaptive xenons were sticking on main beam causing much mayhem to vehicles in front! its also had a new transfer box, as the original was noisy. park brake works fine though.
Funny you should say that,, just back from Bristol.. and though the headlamps were brighter on dip than usual,, even though the main beam warning was not on,, took a few flashes to shut down main beam !!!
28 mpg,, i wish,, OK, only 2.5K on it, but have yet to see over 21mpg in real terms !!!
I have noticed used prices appear to have increased since Christmas and there are far less on the market than there were.Only up in price to the levels they were last summer, after the big hits most large vehicles took, Nice stock is in very short
supply,, has been since about Feb time,,
