  1. 4b shows either the date the photo expires (driving entitlement is valid until 70th Birthday) or the date entitlement expires (medically restricted and over 70 licences).

    Ralph,, Try reading it again

The new Driving license ie B&W pictures ones have a life of 10 years

4a shows the date of issue ,,, Licence valid from ie 15-02-09

4b shows the date the licence expires ,,, Licence valid to ie 14-02-19

The date the photo expires is under the picture ie Feb 19,,, (10 years )

In 14 (on the back) it gives driving entitlement,, and valid until the holders age is 70

  2. explains more, seems the expiry date is to do with the photo rather than the licence/entitlements.

WRONG,, its to do with extracting more cash from your wallet,, ie currently £17.50 ?? odd ever 10 years,,

I keeped my old paper type, and saved £40 odd :o

  3. My first Landrover. It had 'one-ton' rear springs and this meant that the rear axle would not move at all off-road. Once full of people it was great! Anyone know the guy in the hat? :P

In the lower picture it seems to be being driven by a boy; not sure I recognise him... Anyone? Large spectacles were clearly the fashion.

    Chris

Recon he still has the hat as well !!!! or gave it to the "boy" driving

  4. Definately not Burnworthy Tim, it is on a lane in the Quantocks. Can't remember where exactly, but about 400yds before that shot there is a V gully stream crossing that rearranged my rear bumper!! I am sure Matt will be along shortly to remind us where it is.

As for the side slope - absolutely no recollection of that! You sure it was me? Of course, it could be that my self preservation gene has erased it from my memory!!

Yep recognize it now,, the track up from Bicknoller

Sure Lovers will remember the side slop bit,, Definitely you, first time with the winch IIRC

  5. Will, your 110 is just an old barge ! Tear the roof off, fill it with coal and float it off down the canal.

110s are for people who like Defender type Land Rovers but just don't understand about them.

The enlightened ones who do understand, buy a 90 :)

The rest are soft, girly shopping, school run CARS. You should hang your heads in shame coming on a Land Rover forum and pretending they're real Land Rovers.

Next you'll be telling me that Freelanders can go off road.

Begone foul puppies, I'll have no more blasphemy on this thread. Can a mod lock this to prevent further publication of this tripe.

    Love

    Mo :ph34r::P

    We will see Mo,

Give it a few months, and a few thousand miles later,, you will see how vastly superior a 110 is ,, over a short arsed 90 :o:P

  6. A little bit me-centric, but some pics I have dragged up...

If not my first, an extremely early green laning trip with Matt Neale. Almost got stuck in those ruts  Silly pram wheels!

Bish, top one looks like Burnworthy  , and the first trip out with the winch !! remember the side slope, you winched across !!!

Another couple of shots at Burnworthy

  7. I bought my QT 3deg castor corrected radius arms to do a job which they did perfectly. It was this thread that brought a fault to my attention and Dave Marsh at QT Services has replaced my faulty arms with new with out any problems. I cannot praise QT enough for the service and I will continue to use QT for any parts that I need.

    Jeff

    100% Ditto

My L/Hand one broke, (see picture somewhere on this thread),

As they have done the work asked of them well, and for the amount of road work i do with the vehicle, was about to replace them with the standard arms, Until Tony posted this topic,,

Mailed QT that i had one that failed, Dave was away at the Autosport show at the time, but Kerry replies to the mail by return,, Dave then mailed me on his return to work, both units sent back on the Friday, and 2 new units received on the Tuesday,, This i find well above the call, as they had been used and abused,, I have a set of shiny new arms, all for the the cost of carriage to return,, which for me, was cheaper that a pair of used arms,, (well Pikey does like a large drink :P )

    Thank you QT :)

  8. Spot on there. Her home was in Stampford Moor. We got a bit lost as the road was so snowed under it looked like a side road and we ended up at the top of the hill going towards Devon before following the sign posts to Stampford Moor down a very snow / icey road coming down the hill.

Sound like you went up Wrangway. and cut back right to Sampford !!

The top picture was about a mile of so further on, down the road from Sampford, about 7am Friday morning,,

Even the main A38 going back to Wellington was well covered

PS no T in Sampford

  9. The road to her house had not being snow ploughed as had most of the streets in the Wellington area.

Tell me about it,, Most of the side roads round here are still the same as Friday morning, but now covered with ice

Guessing she was from Sampford Moor ??

Should have tried that route early Friday morning,, :o Very nearly got the Sport stuck :(
