Hi all, looking for part number for a range rover classic powersteering to alternator belt, range rover classic 1988, 3.5 efi auto, bought two so far both companies saying yes this will fit but they don't one was to long regardless of adjustment on the alternator, other one belt was to wide for the v pullies wouldn't seat right it was just sliding round eventually burnt the sides of the belt warped then snapped, there wasn't any teeth on the original belt, like the new one's, dd

  4. Think I'm going to get it booked in, last time I enquired there was 3wks waiting list, but filled header tank up and engine runs fine, bought a vaporiser service kit so I'll change that incase diaphragm as split, dd
  5. Hi all, discovery 2 4.0 v8 auto on lpg, 110,000 on clock, troubles started months ago one thing after another, change exhaust tail pipe, mrs seems to thing all started then? Done headgaskets to the book, still using loads of coolant, so probably not done right, had a surging problem, and jerking like a misfire but no lights on dash, changed purge valve made no difference, change coilpack said to be good?, changed plugs leads, fuel cleaner for injectors, radiator flush new thermostat, got no fault codes, been out this morning just got home engine stalled restarted then stalled after 30seconds smoke coming through vents on dash, open bonnet smoke coming out mas air flow pipe and air box, also lpg vaporiser was iced up, and coolant tank empty, thinking of getting rid, dd
  6. Up date, tried another coil pack to no avail, but it's sorted, it was a 15amp fuse second one from the back of fuse board, which has something to do with maf meter and runs couple of other things, dd
  7. Up date, disconnected maf, took it a spin still the same, put me foot down still sluggish, then all of a sudden something kicks in and goes like a rocket and then back to sluggish when I ease off pedal, dd
  8. Rrrrrr, it has being using alot of gas lately, also did think of coil pack but don't have spare set, I also changed the purge valve to no avail, dd

Hi all, discovery 2, 4.0 v8 auto, dual fuel, 02 reg, been having a problem 2months now, car misses not such as a misfire more of hesitation when car is warm happens about 2000-2500 revs, car sometimes jerks , and loss of power as if in limp mode but get no lights on dash and no codes, upto yet I've cleaned throttle body, maf, idle control valve the one that's sits on top of plenium, relocated my coil pack to front of engine with new leads, but problem was already there before I moved it, my brake booster pipe connector to inlet manifold is loose, when driving you can hear air, but if this is the problem why only when car is warm, dd
  10. I think I've done it right, the one I done is brown one etc8496, in which I think has been superceded with 73355A, have I done this correctly, dd

Yh I know that, but I couldn't find a replacement for the faulty sensor, 33704A the brown one, so I found a bolt to fit the thread in the housing, then drilled hole through centre of bolt, then tapped it with the same thread as the new type 73355A, all fits nice and snug, just waiting now to test it, dd

Hi all, range rover classic efi 3.5 v8 flapper 1989, removed temp sensor the one that talks to ecu, done some tests have no resistance, tried sauce pan test boiling water slowly but nothing, part number says, lucas 33704A, but googled it but throws up 73355A, which I have but thread size is to small, also nut size on original one is 24mm, new type 19mm, where can I get lucas one, or is there an alternative? Need the brown one which is made in west Germany, dd

Hi, up date, I have something dragging battery down, a brand new one very quick, that's why question about positive earth, I have positive battery feed to starter motor terminal, from there to bulkhead,should this be insolated, 2, ignition on, friend opens flap can hear fuel pump, I get fuel,but no start, 3, ignition on have power at relay mount by AFM, and power at relay drivers seat brown wires, 4, ignition on have power at fuel pump relay mount but only on the white wires, nothing on white/purple or white/green which I believe is the switch wire I just altered timing, incase it was out 180 degrees, but waiting for battery to charge again, can't get to ecu because electric seat not working , dd
