  1. Thanks to Neil and the team for a good day, throughly enjoyed ourseleves except for old fencing wire lying in undergrowth wrapping round front hub and cutting clean through both brake flexis losing us about an hour. As previouly said some sections not easy to understand which route through, numbered gates would be easier to follow. Made a change to stay bone dry the whole day and then get wet whilst packing up.
  2. Entry Form in first class post Today for Wayne Tonks and Rhodri Lewis.
  3. We have loads of jetters in work ranging from the one in the workshop for every day up to big Ultra High Pressure site machines for concrete demolition (38lts min @ 38000psi). Take the advice of getting a steam or hot wash. Beware of some of the B&Q machines they are specially made for the market and spares are difficult and they are designed for washing the car and patio occasionally. Go to one of the specialist suppliers or Farm machine suppliers and they have small reliable profesional machines for not that much more than your budget. The one in our worshop is an EDGE LYNX is used nearly every day and is 5 yrs old without any problems, I think it was about £950.00 new but you can get refurbs. Try to get at least 100lts min @90ºC.and as said previous make sure it has bsp fittings on the hoses and lance.
  4. Myself and Rhodri will definatly be there Neil, winch now on
  5. We have had two isuzu kits from conversion and precision one 6yrs ago one 3yrs ago both still fine quick delivery and easy to fit except the exhaust piece, we bought the first one with exhaust piece and it kept coming loose, we made the exhaust piece for the second one and that has been fine. The first kit still in use daily as and when we need 4x4 at work and the other is in challenge truck.
  6. We apply epoxy coatings to various structures including floors for local government etc, the problems with epoxy are the initial bond onto the floor, when new concrete is cast you are left with a surface containing fats, this must be removed and you also need a surface profile for the epoxy to bond to, the only correct way to acheive this is to blast clean the floor using blastrac machines, they remove all the fats, blast in a surface profile and vac all the dust from the surface in one process. It can be very expensive, anything between £6.00 > £40.00 per m² depending on the products specified and the existing floor condition. In a heavy workshop environment you may need to use epoxy screeds which are very very expensive, up to £80.00 per m² but withstand immense amounts of mechanical damgage. If you do not have the means of blastrac prep to the floor you are probably better off just using economy floor paint from any of the main manufacturers, it is economical and easy to repair yourselves and will last similar time to an epoxy applied onto a incorrectly prepared surface. 7. Very wet morning, unfortunatly we burst a brake pipe after 4 punches, went back to repair and had a call to say my wife was unwell so me and Rhodri made the decission to leave. Throughly enjoyed the punches we did although very wet. Thanks to Neil and the team for all you do to make the events possible, we have throughly enjoyed the other events we made it to this year and hopefully wont have such busy work commitments next year. Wayne
  8. Thanks to Neil and the team for a great event. Glad everyone is Ok. We ripped o/side wing nearly clean off, had a light roll on punch 40, Rhodri couldnt get ground anchor to bite so I blamed him. We also ripped A Frame mount off rear axle and gearbox mounting bracket off chassis so not to much to repair. Looking forward to the next round Wayne
