  1. For the people who want to put the om606 in a landrover/rangerover/disco

    Its quite easy.

There is a conversion kit available for about 700 quid. It comes with conversion plate. Engine mounts and exhaust. It's available for Manuel and auto.

If you go Manuel you will need a flywheel from a e300td with om603 engine. clutch pressure plate for a mercedes and Mitsubishi friction plate. I have all part numbers. They go on the v8 gearboxes.

The turbo has to have the turbo actuator changed from vacuum to boost. Or depending on the hp wanted an holset turbo

The fuel pump you need from either a om603 turbo or om606 non turbo both these pumps are mechanical. If you want more power you can have the 6mm elements fitted

From the original pump to your mechanical pump. Or even bigger

And that's about it to get it running

  2. Hate the cost and availability of parts. Ive had to. Recon turbo. Recon pump. Headgasket. Water pump. I had the injectors clean and reset up due to part availability. But now there buggered and im awaiting nossels to be made. Should she them by the end of july. And its never impressed me power wise. My 200tdi with tweeked pump and hybrid turbo was quicker

  3. I have a 200tdi discovery with a madza 3.5 slti engine in. Im fed up with the dam engine so was thinking of putting a 300tdi or td5. I like the idea of the td5 but the simpleness of the 300. What power is people getting from the 300

  4. Bosch pro for angle grinders. We use and abuse them at work and there the ones that always keep going. Depends on what kind of work your going to do with them. We have a bosch drill aswell and thats lasted 5 years. But dosnt get used much as we use cordless drills. Were snap on drill seems to be the best we found

  5. Right selling my tyres for something bigger, I have a disco trackback so clearance on the rear is fine just the front, but chopping isn't a problem, thinking of 37" maxxis mudziller, has anyone had these or use these, and what do you use on your disco?

  6. After fitting my hydraulic winch to my discovery (what a pain of a job fitting the PTO) it doesn't seem to pull very well at all, if I was winching on tarmac it will pull me fine intill I put my breaks on then it cuts out, I've checked the pressure relief valve, it's set to 2500 psi, awaiting gauge to comform this, spoke to a hydraulic specialist today, he seems to think that's all the winch would pull anyway, has anyone had one and how did they pull,
