No not learning mee to suck eggs, hydraulics is new to me, has been sat for couple of years in a container so could be vavle block sticking, mine has no levers on the block just the cable, a port in from pump, two ports out to the motor, a return to the tank and a small pipe fitting, which I haven't worked out yet what its for, pritty sure I have a small pipe fitting on the motor aswell, not sure what thats for either :$
-
Thank you will leave that out then, my red cable is seize can you still get parts for these, if so ware too

The probelm is finding one on it's own - I have this set up that includes a H14 hydraulic motor:
But breaking it up probably ruins my chance of selling it all.
Hello sorry to bring this back up again but in that picture what is the bottom left item with one hydraulic pipe going to it, has any one got a flow diagram for that winch set up?
-
Cheers for the info, do people have the pumps driving all the time or switchable?
-
Fitment isn't an issue, will keep an eye out for a 2nd hand one,

It's about time I rebuilt my gearbox lt77 and transfer box, were do you lot get parts from, Ashcroft? Landrover? Or are bridpart good enough? Thoughts please?
-
I belevie that's the landrover part numbers, the should be numbers stamped on the bearing itself
-
Hello could some one please tell me the part number stamped on the wheel bearing itself, its for a 1993 200tdi so the common bearing which seems to be used in most landrover

No seats no belts not tested, great you get a pass, just remember thou if you refit the seats and belts and have an accident and that person is badly injured or kill then plop can hit the fan, as they say, when the test is done they enter the about of seats tested

i have a snap on one, mine came with 2 batterys, every person i know has 2 with it, very good indeed, my mate compared them and brought the sealy one because its more powerful, must say the snap on has alot more grunt and batterys last alot longer, i also brought the drill and chop off saw aswell, so have 6 batterys and 3 chargers which all can be used on each other, very good and well made and will always get my vote

Hello I have a fault with my disco 300tdi it starts and idles fine, but when you drive along and hit about 3500 rpm the engine cuts in and out, seems to be that it isn't getting enough fuel, you can also get the same fault to occur when the vehicle is standing still, if you hold the revs flat out it will be ok for 30 secs then start to hunt up and down,
Just wondering if any one else has had this problem?
Fuel filter changed and lift pump

i have had two discoverys and mk3 golf gti that needed vic tests, i have always put an mot on them before taking them to vic, you dont need too but you must trailer them to the vic test otherwise. they check the chassis number, engine number and gearbox if applicable, and numberplates, and that a repair has been started to the vehicle, they do not do an mot on them, you can then drive strait to a dvla office and tax it! its easy all i did is text one of those "check your car" they text you back and tell you its a write off cat c (which u already know) and info on the car like the last 4 chassis number, you can then use that to check the numberplate agaist the chassis number, if there ok you should be fine

turbos pass oil, pipes will be coated lightly, if its pass to much, eg seals failed it will smoke, normaly quite badly, check play up and down, make sure the blades cant/have touch the sides/housing, in the world of mercedes benz we get the turbo shaft snaped on the exhaust side, inlet looks ok no abnorble play in shaft but complete lack of power, u can either check exhaust turbine and make sure they spin together(not sure if u can excess the exhaust side on the 300?) or we start the vehicle with the inlet pipe off so u can see if the turbine is spining, another thing is waste gate could be seized open, causing lack of power, check that you can move the waste gate,

Ruuman your a star, I will blank the small hose from the valve block, and have a look at the cable, looking at it it looks like a handle could be bolted on the valve check, finished fitting the pto the weekend, bit of a job on a disco, had to cut quite abit of the floor away and make a handle, but all is working now, just got to make the winch fit and pump it in, what gears to people use these winchs in? What sort of speed to they pull, regards andy
