  1. The Mech lock works very well I used to work for a recovery firm that is in London all the time and all their trucks were fitted with the mech lock and we were told to turn the key and remove it when we were working as our trucks needed the engine running in neutral with the pto in to work the hydraulics and we could be 40 feet away winching a car on.... the device stopped some scrote jumping in the cab and driving off with £60 grands worth of recovery truck + the car your were recovering......very worth the money

  2. Glad to here your injuries are not too serious and the 110 is ok and another uninsured driver is off the roads ; I myself helped in removing 4 such drivers from the roads around Watford this weekend as I am a Police Badged recovery driver and removed a Fiesta , a Kia ,a Sprinter Van and a Toyota Camry

  3. As the title I think it's time that Hadley my 2 year old son discovered the joys of series land rovering as my defender challenge truck doesn't go on the road. I thought it was time to revive my series 3 109 that has sat patiently on my drive for 4 1/2 years. I need a 3 point belt to use his baby seat , I have discovered exmoor trim sell a 3 point for the centre seat (great as he can sit in between the wife an I) Do you think this will work or do you have any other ideas . Here is a link to it (part no ex294) http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/index.php?option=com_flippingbook&view=book&id=6&Itemid=89

    Thanks in Advance

  4. I have had owners complaining about a small amount of light corrosion as they are worried it could remove the friction material from the stabilsers brake pads. I know they have to be completely clean and if anyone is unhappy with my tow ball I offer to fit their own to my truck. I cannot report how effective they are as all caravans tow pretty well behind a 12 ton truck !!

  5. very true about the Alko hitches I have this problem with caravan owners that break down and I have to tow their van with my recovery truck , You must have a spotlessly clean towball of the "alko" or long necked type . If any owner dislikes my tow ball I offer to fit his to my truck
