  1. hello everyone

    Im the person who posted the video up on goolge videos

    This jeep had failed its MOT and it was not economically viable to repair (completely rusted underneath) also none of us wanted the hasle of breaking it . Rather than just take it straight to the breakers we decided to have some fun with it first and see what it could do if realy pushed , all the driving you see in the video was on private land , after the destruction , the jeep and carp that fell off were low loaded to a local scrap metal merchant and it weighed in at just under 3 tons , which we received £110 .

    thanks for watching

    I'd just say, top marks for having the guts to own up to the video & post a reasoned reply on here & for doing a clear up job when you finished playing, looks like the Jeep had a good send off.

  2. I thought the price was on par with the genuine LR parts version, the switches are Carling as used by ARB for the compressor/lockers I'm sure the switches on their own aren't cheap, the price doesn't include post/packing from Canada, just thought it looked good & was a viable alternative to the gen LR one.

    Si yours looks great :)

  3. Saw this in LRE Aug 2006 issue on page 110 -ShopWindow, & thought you guys/girls would be interested

    Defender Dash

    for all 90/110/130 upto 2002, similar to the genuine LR 2002 on Td5 part. :i-m_so_happy:

    just converted the introductory price of 245usd to gbp with www.xe.com works out at

    245.00 USD United States Dollars = 133.469 GBP United Kingdom Pounds

    1 USD = 0.544771 GBP 1 GBP = 1.83563 USD = exchange rates.

  4. just wind the stop in or out to prevent the opposite tyre fouling on the radius arm,

    it's not a spacer but a stepped bolt,

    there is no cutting needed.

    for tyre size 7.50x16 set the stop bolt to 54mm from the face of the head to the insde [brake disc] side of the swivel housing,

    any other tyres set to 51mm,

    if swivel gaiters are fitted set to 56mm to avoid straining/ripping the gaiter material.

  5. Just use the thickest gasket, the one with no holes, I added a reply earlier this week with a list of protrusion ranges they cover.

    info mentioned above

    0 hole gasket is the thickest, then 3, 2, 1 as the thinnest

    0 = 0.81 to 0.90 for 300Tdi only IIRC

    3 = 0.71 to 0.80

    2 = 0.61 to 0.70

    1 = 0.50 to 0.60

    all mm chose depending on piston crown protursion above the block face.

  6. I cannot find the following:

    Lift pump seal ------------------- err2028 reuse the spacer block just clean off the old gaskets

    Vacuum pump seal -------------gasket etc4616, top plate seal aeu2719

    Core plugs-------------- if there OK leave well alone, most car shops will have stock of suitable sizes.

  7. Spray pattern & pressure can be tested & tips changed, otherwise fit reconditioned or brand Bosch new items

    Bosch 2 spring (assembly number 0432193879)

    nozzle size/type DSLA 145P208

    nozzle holder KBEL 98 P52

    opening (working) pressure

    initail pressure 200atmospheres

    secondary pressure 280 atmospheres
