Slap it back on then steve, it did make me wonder though with that much clearance, i reckon it was a work-experience boy doing the drawing office corrections that day and no one ever bothered to change it!
-
Check the earths, the d-lander had clicky relays when the earth was faulty, could be a dodgy relay tho. Have you taken the multi plug off the pump yet and checked for power when the ignition is on?
-
Ive discovered the same thing on several vehicles before steve so i can only assume its "normal" - it does however seem a little strange.
-
Bizarre -i lived in the area for years with landrovers and was a marshall at one of the few sites in the area and yet ive never seen Kevin, or i dont think big-jer or many others - shame ive moved now as it weould have been nice to meet you all.
Still, i know a lot of guys round there - i'll make them aware of this event.
-
I'd love to come along but the D-Lander isnt ready and the 90 still has no MOT! Someday soon tho!

"Baby on board" is a actually a good idea, it alerts the emergency services in case of an accident that there is an occupant of that car who cannot get out by themselves.
"princess on board" or "baby on board, please back off" are complete rubbish however.
They only work though if you take them out when the baby isnt in the car, otherwise said emergency services could be looking for a baby who could either allegedly be in the car, or have been thrown free when in reality they were never there at all.

I would think the ideal price point is £25 to make people change from what they have, sounds like a good product on paper
-
really this is just an idea which is being engineered to suit a current problem, 'doing a uni project that doesnt involve work work'!
I'm sorry if i got this wrong but you are trying to engineer a project that involves as little work as possible, and ask on a forum to gather our knowledge and experience and ideas just to avoid doing anything yourself?

Thanks for all the support chaps - might well be time to return to freelance Solidworks design/draughting work!
As for the snow, despite being a stones throw from dartmoor there isnt a spot of snow here yet!!
-
Why dont you use the motion simulation part of Solidworks to analyse the motion and limitations of the new setup, also you could use cosmos for the FEA - either way you dont need to remodel it to run the FEA.

That is hideos... i'm sure Safety Devices would like to know he's using their name in vane... no way did they make that shambles...!!
FJT Safety devices....not the safety devices.
Either way its an abortion of a "cage"....

Oh wow, i have to drive those roads!
-
Who are they made by, look very compomotive esk!

The wiring goes straight into the top of the tank so you can check that by cutting a hole - its entirely your choice mate but i know what i'd do, bear in mind diesel weighs similar to water @ approx 1Kg/Litre so even with a bit in it the tank becomes heavy!!!
-
Any chance of a pic of these wheels?
-
The other person who has one is Jez (dollythew) as seen on Mouse
-
Having dropped a tank before i'd go for cutting an access hole and then fitting a riveted ali panel back in its place once done
-
If you can post a picture then we can help you identify them

Not a sausage here in devon (exeter to plymouth) and i got to work only to be made redundant

Until recently i worked for the UK's no.1 water company.....i'd seriously invest those £300 for clean safe water Paul.
Out of interest, what made you move there, did you used to live in the UK?
-
Agreed, but it may indicate where next weak point down the line is. Removing the holes might just move the failure point to somewhere else.
Without doubt but to model it we would also have to add the welds as they are when fabricated as they form an integral part of the arm and would change the results significantly. I'd hapily model and run FEA on them but i dont know the material spec for them, also the bushes used would change the loading results depending on the hardness.

Nothing about MT KM2's on Devon4x4's site
http://www.devon4x4.com/products_b/p203c69...-255/85r16.html
They can get more than on their site and they have supplied them before.

Devon 4x4 is the best source of info for these Chris, i believe they can get them too.
