  1. Does anyone know if Mobile Storage Systems are still in business,or if they have changed their phone number? As I have been calling them for the last week or so,and just get a message that the number is disconnected or not available.I also sent an email, and haven't received a reply.I am after a metal cubby box with the radio compartment, and theirs seems to get the best feedback Wayne
  2. I run -22mm offset rims with 35"Trepadores on my 110 without any clearance problems. But you will need extended wheel arch flares. But the good thing is it widens your track for added stability. Wayne
  3. That is even better, with the beadlocks. Those rims sound interesting,we don't get them here. And my vote for tyres is,Maxxis Trepadore Radials in 35x12.5x16. I like them so much,I bought some.Much nicer to drive on than Radial Baja claws, and even though the tread isn't quite as deep, they give better traction on any rocky surface. Wayne
  4. Actually the 8" rims will keep the 12.5's from blowing a bead at low pressure better than 10" rims.8" rims is the size of choice for most rock crawlers that don't run beadlocks.
  5. Thanks Nige, but a little bit difficult to do that, due to the time difference,as I am in Sydney Australia. Had a look at one of the calculators, and at 110KPH (65MPH) which is about as fast as I would normally drive,it should be doing 3349RPM in 5th gear with 4.7 diffs and 35s.Up from 2788RPM now with the 265/75's fitted.Might make 5th gear more tractable with the 200Tdi,don't know about fuel consumption though. Wayne
  6. Forgot to mention that the rear diff is a Salisbury and limits the ratios available Wayne
  7. The Transfer case is the standard Defender 1.41:1 box Wayne
  8. The vehicle will be a weekend plaything, and the normal terrain here is sandstone rocks and red clay hills. Will be happy if it happily does 90KPH,as I have to drive it to any 4WD destination. Wayne
  9. 94 110 Defender on 35's 4.11:1 or 4.7:1 Interested in peoples thoughts and preferences or experiences. Vehicle is a 200Tdi Also Ashcroft or KAM or?
  10. Jake I rang OME in Melbourne, and they told me that they have discontinued the old design nitrocharger shocks. And the new shocks have better valving and are called the Nitrocharger Sport.Unfortunately the long shocks are the last ones to be released supposedly. And for anybody that is interested, the new part number that is supposed to be the equivalent lengths to the N73L is, 60070L.Not supposed to be available here in Australia for a month or so.No idea when it will appear in the UK. Wayne
  11. Yes Paul the N73L shocks are front Landcruiser shocks, but are a bit more than +2" N73L is what is recommended by Gwyn Lewis for his suspension setup.Which is what I basically have, except I have different custom coils. Wayne
  12. Ahhh good Not very often we get to see much with Landies down here in the Antipodes.YouTube can be good for something.
  13. Thanks Steve That is the same specs I was given when I rang a supplier here today and got them to measure them for me.Too long on compressed length for what I was after. So it looks like I will have to wait till OME bring out their new shocks in a month or two. Wayne
  14. Hi all, have been lurking around for a while, just reading. But now I have a question that I haven't been able to find a definitive answer to.I have a 94 Defender 110,and have just bought shock mounts and kinked rear arms from Gwyn Lewis with the thought of buying the OME N73L shocks from here in Australia, where they are much cheaper to buy, especially when factoring in the transport costs.Unfortunately OME no longer make these shocks, and the new replacement models, won't be available for 1-2 months. So I am looking at the Terrafirma +5" shocks. And what I need to know is the open and closed lengths when measured from the shoulder of pins, which is where OME measure their shocks from.Till this point I haven't been able to find a correct measurement,as all that I have come across on the net are different lengths, and don't stipulate where the measurements are taken from.So if someone has a set and can let me know the measurements,of if someone knows where I may find this information it would be appreciated. Thanks
