You're almost beginning to sound mortal 😉

Surely @Stellaghost has the capabilities to lift the roof of his garage in situ.
I accidentally did that by 1/2 an inch when building my hydraulic press. The ram is a touch on the heavy side so I used its own power to lift it in position off of the press table. Turned out my measurements were a little off.

The guy has loosened the head off to move it in his shed so it will be removed totally and put in the back of the pickup. The mill is a bit heavier than standard as it has a vertical bed on it to house up to 3 driving heads at the same time

This sounds interesting, will we get pictures please?

Alas despite having a lot of space two JCB's are just excessive for me when between the neighbours within 2 miles there's four tele handlers, at least four loader tractors, 2 more backhoes, a 24t, 21t, 2x13t, 5t, 2.7t and 1.8t Komatsu 360s.
--SNIP--
Sounds like a feeble excuse to me, what if they all happen to be using their
toysmachines? You should get yourself a 24t Komatsu for just those times when an engine crane won't do

Bit easier than removing the seat for a jump start

Would I be evil to tell you that 114's are lovely?

Just teach them how to do things safely whilst you watch them, otherwise they'll only go and do them behind your back without any guidance I was allowed to use any tool when I was growing up

That's proper parenting

They grow up so quickly, enjoy the very short time they are pups, Sid will wait patiently.

I've only ever seen one broken Record 36 and it was still usable despite the hole in it. They are a nice vice, they have more clearance around the slide than more traditional looking vices.
-
Dave seems to be to blame for more than his fair share of broken ones .

That's very cool. I like a nice vice, never seen one like that before. I seem to recall we had a vice porn thread before somewhere.
The nearest I can find having had a search is this one

@CwazyWabbit has a vice affliction, he’ll like that!
I do like that... and have the exact same vice too Also have a couple of other funky jawed vices, although sadly not a fractal jaw one as they sell for literally thousands now.

Must be ready for driving forward and backwards a bit now you've wired the stop solenoid 😉
-
Surely you could just sit underneath Sid and do the wiring, looks like there is plenty of room there

That's a perfectly acceptable reason He's lovely
