-
Sorry ,03 discovery 2 td5 automatic ive got the switch but would like the tool if available? I think their is one or so ive been told .Thanks again
-
Does anyone have the xyz switch special tool part number , it should be listed with the auto td5's thanks
-
does the 200tdi have the same kinda p gasket setup as a 300tdi possible that if so
-
thanks thats the 2 choices i have got from them
-
Have a small problem with a part identification on a 1998 300tdi cant seem to get the right part number for the temp sender our local landrover dealer has the choice of two , would anyone be able to identify the right one as am on my mac and my pc has sat down
-
ive heard of them , quite good but mega expensive drills compared to normal ones
-
it works if u have the hydrogen pre created , but i wouldnt want a tank of it in the motor and the greif its going to cause isnt work will
-
auto works on fluid being pumped through etc etc , u get a actual holding tool for the front pulley that allows you to torque it up tight
-
http://www.customcrimp.com/ their expensive but the smaller unit is what we have excpet it sits vertical
-
4 inlet bent

Well went over to his tonight jumped in fired it up , in neutral clutch up no noise clutch down rumble, so i removed the slave to be greeted but a lump of metal , turns out to be one of the lugs on the pressure/cover place that holds one of the 3 spring it has snapped of the clutch was a ap unit , so engine out at the weekend
-
On my mates Disco we changed the gearbox about 3 months ago with a unit from ashcrofts , we also replace rear crank seal pilot bearing and clutch and beefed up the pivot point on the fork
Now the problem is he is finding it hard to select gears and putting the clutch down in first it continues to drive slighty , i havent been out to look at it going tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas i thought at first might be the slave but as said i havent had a look at it

Should be a good film
No clutch, no brakes, front chassis rotten away that hold's the springs (wooden blocks between the axle and bump stops to keep the front end in the air)
If only I could find a realy steep hill
id did a hole and just push it in lol
basically u have a engine and some rubber lol
-
check if the batterys are charging
-
thankyou to all who helped it was a dodgy injector, now running fine
hope the cheque is in the post
-
better quality but id rather buy a mac tool box with snaps on tools in it
-
Me too, but even then I find Snap-on a bit pricey. I do have two brake pipe clamps, though.
very true although i do buy little and often , but all my stuff at work is snap on toolbox , tools but low and behold i have a halfords 150 bit kit in my car i use everynight for homers
-
what you are saying makes a lot of sense ,but how can you stop a injector driping over night and what would cause this
Regards
Ray
it has a pressurized fuel rail so any leakage on a injector it would/possibly seep through , i dont know much about the td5 system but if other possibility's have been checked and ok then i would get them out and clean/checked but id check the glow plug as jim said before and any other bits and boobs like fuel filters are clean , their is no obvious fuel leaks , that the fuel isnt contaminated
-
nope they are tight and i have no leaks i can see
internal leak ie dripping inside the chamber u wont see , if everything else is ok id get the check if u can on a td5 injector
-
you must be rich
in the trade so i can justify the price as i use my stuff every day all day
-
Gotta be hi-tensile though.
Les.
i prefer snap-on sockets myself.....
-
12point 13mm socket or 1/2inch 12 point socket if they are damaged slightly
-
that is a very good point would they show signs off desiel leaking
hard to start and white/blue smoke apon starting
