Have a small problem with a part identification on a 1998 300tdi cant seem to get the right part number for the temp sender our local landrover dealer has the choice of two , would anyone be able to identify the right one as am on my mac and my pc has sat down
Well went over to his tonight jumped in fired it up , in neutral clutch up no noise clutch down rumble, so i removed the slave to be greeted but a lump of metal , turns out to be one of the lugs on the pressure/cover place that holds one of the 3 spring it has snapped of the clutch was a ap unit , so engine out at the weekend
On my mates Disco we changed the gearbox about 3 months ago with a unit from ashcrofts , we also replace rear crank seal pilot bearing and clutch and beefed up the pivot point on the fork
Now the problem is he is finding it hard to select gears and putting the clutch down in first it continues to drive slighty , i havent been out to look at it going tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas i thought at first might be the slave but as said i havent had a look at it
very true although i do buy little and often , but all my stuff at work is snap on toolbox , tools but low and behold i have a halfords 150 bit kit in my car i use everynight for homers
it has a pressurized fuel rail so any leakage on a injector it would/possibly seep through , i dont know much about the td5 system but if other possibility's have been checked and ok then i would get them out and clean/checked but id check the glow plug as jim said before and any other bits and boobs like fuel filters are clean , their is no obvious fuel leaks , that the fuel isnt contaminated
