  1. That's what I needed to know, is the 80 lb ball park ish. I'll just figure out the throttle side and then order. And, yes, I'll retain the oil bath restriction!
  2. Ummmm. Interested! Thank you. But I've to confess to slight reservations. . . as the unit in the Screenshot looks, on paper, to be near perfect. It's mechanical link, built in TPS, almost series carb shaped. Siemens injector. Happy to save money, naturally, but if the VWspeedshop unit makes the job, well, just work, it's very tempting. Is higher flow rate better? Presumably it can be turned down? Is 80 lb per hour too much?
  3. That's really useful, thanks. I presume the injector can cope with the workload.
  4. Thanks, learning as I go... Plenum. I know nothing about plenumi, or plenums. Thanks, still good with SPI stuck on a series manifold.
  5. How do SPI systems work? Are they injecting constantly?
  6. It's still nearly a foot and a half!?!?! Ummmm. Single point injection with a carb manifold. Multi point is OUT.
  7. Where is the runner length calculated from? And is my sums right? 11 before top dead centre =11 Top to bottom =90 47 after bottom dead centre Total = 148?
  8. Stuck. No idea the duration of a standard cam. Help?
  9. Where would I shop for corteco seals? Local bearing place?
  10. Yes, it's an option. I've been focusing on the Landrover suppliers. I'll try find a lookup.
  11. Yes. I'm going with it. Most of the brands are in the same price range. Landrover is, as usual, 6 times the price. And probably the same part....
  12. Nope. But all metal except the sealing surface. It comes with a applicator. It looks good.
  13. Yes...... One is the dip stick tube. Fine. The other is the oil filter gasket. Again, fine. But. I've also a red box Britpart "XS" rear crank oil seal. With a "G" suffix part number Not sure about that....
  14. If I had storage.... Pop a 1940s body on it. Skinny tyres. Perfect. Summer motoring!
  15. I have a lot of reading to do. But not a lot of time to do it in, things are about to get busy at the Landrover funding place, they think of themselves as my employer? Ah well.
  16. A large box has arrived. Hopefully I've the wearing parts of an engine inside it. I do have an exhaust manifold, with a bung for a wide band lambda.
