  1. Where is the runner length calculated from? And is my sums right? 11 before top dead centre =11 Top to bottom =90 47 after bottom dead centre Total = 148?
  2. Stuck. No idea the duration of a standard cam. Help?
  3. Where would I shop for corteco seals? Local bearing place?
  4. Yes, it's an option. I've been focusing on the Landrover suppliers. I'll try find a lookup.
  5. Yes. I'm going with it. Most of the brands are in the same price range. Landrover is, as usual, 6 times the price. And probably the same part....
  6. Nope. But all metal except the sealing surface. It comes with a applicator. It looks good.
  7. Yes...... One is the dip stick tube. Fine. The other is the oil filter gasket. Again, fine. But. I've also a red box Britpart "XS" rear crank oil seal. With a "G" suffix part number Not sure about that....
  8. If I had storage.... Pop a 1940s body on it. Skinny tyres. Perfect. Summer motoring!
  9. I have a lot of reading to do. But not a lot of time to do it in, things are about to get busy at the Landrover funding place, they think of themselves as my employer? Ah well.
  10. A large box has arrived. Hopefully I've the wearing parts of an engine inside it. I do have an exhaust manifold, with a bung for a wide band lambda.
  11. I'll be watching that repeatedly, I thought it was very helpful. Parts due today, but via parcel farce, so that's slightly worrying. G.
  12. True. The options open to JLR were to saturate that market or expand beyond that market. They choose the former, most real defender owners would prefer they went for the latter. But, as we all know, defender owners are a fairly soft lot, compared to proper Landrover owners, so they'll be happy enough with the Slovak defender. In time.
  13. Is the adflo definitely okay for 2k?
  14. I've done it. The series steering relay collar is attached to the chassis via 4 bolts. I filled with silicone, to fit the relay I had a tap ready to dress the threads. The tap went straight in. No work. The silicone burns off, but the ash is all that has to be removed.
