i have a problem with some people ,i have a right ofway through my field for these walkers and i fenced it for them as the exercisers think they can go any where. My lad rides his mx bike in the next field and they look at him in disgust i have even had them get ****y with me for doing what i want on my land so i say f,,k them ,one day they will cross me in a moody then get dropped....one even knocked on our door for a rag as he got dung on his boot
managed to speak to some one in the vosa trade and anything pulled in that looks heavily modified to the eye will be pulled in and not allowed on the road till proven safe to do so,This goes for lowered cars aswell this has been brought about by recent accidents involving modified vehicles
They picked him up on the 2"lift saying he had altered the handling ,also the winch and bumper and side exit exhaust some thing to do with pedestrains ,,,They had on a lorry two lowered saxo type cars
I put this on devon 4x4 as well..i gave this man a lift home he was gutted
I was pulled in on the Bath to M4 road at a transport lay by they were checking trucks etc but speaking to a chap with a lifted disco he said got his car impounded for having his bumper above 15" and they reckon its lift has affected its road handling .After speaking to the ministry chap he said they are clamping down on raised and lowered vehicles unless they have passed the same test all new cars go though to meet the safety standards required. He told the disco driver that his car wasn't as manufactured and his messing could cause injury or death ,to use this car he will have to prove it safe
Question have we been waiting for this to happen in our no win no fee world.
i said fitted these beautifull wheels and tyres but my truck is falling apart and my old 1992 defender with the same is perfect WHY!!!!!!!!!!! answer was oh dear looks like they didnt tighten the nuts up from new we are sorry would you like coffee why we check your truck over
Not sure but they were very nice about it the manager said they had no previous problems with these but speaking to the machanic he said he has done loads over the last six months ,earlier this year we brought a range rover sport and a mile down the road the supercharger seized up and after they repaired it the head gasket went ,i was so peed off i got a full refund
not yet mate its the same spec as the one i am selling but new ,i didnt want a new one but the wife went to buy a new disco and we got another 90 instead after a test drive they are the dogs nuts
couldnt spend to long down there but put it on the ramp and every bolt under there is loose all steering nuts, radias arms ect will spend more time tomorrow and may be speak to the supplying dealer as i havnt been off road yet
on my 90 on full lock i get a clicking from somewhere under the bonet but it doesnt do it on standard wheels, they arnt rubbing could it be the weight of the tyre over loading the steering box,
i use 37" boggers on both my landys and have tried many a tyre on muddy farm fields and lanes and wouldnt use anything else, but put full ashcroft running gear in and you will have no problems at all
Yesterday i replaced my snaped cam belt ,replaced pushrods ,checked valves ,skimed head and done a proper jog. Before i did all this it was almost stalling ,when reved then as it almost stalled it would pick up again to a normal tick over,I thought i might of cured it when i did this overhaul,And ideas what it might be
on my 90 the front steering shock bush moves slightly when i turn the steering, does this affect the drive on the road as i dont want to spend any more weekends on her for a while as the wife has started moaning
