I just got a Td5 for work use and its previous owner was mad on dogs so it stinks,But it was cheap so i power washed it out and now its real good but when i put the blower on it stinks of dog ..Is there a filter or some way to clean it even thought about pouring cleaning fluid down the windscreen vents

ok this is a very serious issue i have three front seats in the 90 i need somewhere or some device that will hold a coke can or a cardboard costa coffee cup,i am fed up driving one handed,,if there are no passengers the seats anit no good as they slope to much ,do they make a decent cup holder...

I am trying to find out why my TD5 is sluggish i have run it through the nanocom but the figures are only helpful if you know what they should be in the first place,i have searched high and low for a list does anyone know where i can obtain these

when i conected the wastegate was not fully closed is it meant to be, by the way it was hard to pull out the rod to meet the gate

are you saying i should lenghen the rod? i did pull the actuator out about 5mm to fit on

on my TD5 i took off the wastegate adjustable rod i didnt mess with the lengh it was to see if the gate was stuck ,it wasnt but i had to pull out the rod 5mm so that it hooked on the gate ok then fit the clip..has onyone else found this or does my rod need adjusting,,trying to sort out my low bottom end power

fully understand that you put it well.Just been in garage couldnt wait the waste gate is free now looking at your diagram i see there is a rubber diahram could this be at fault giving this code 01-05 turbocharger wastegate short circuit CURRENT

i been down to landy and i have the rod that goes into a vaclume type thing and on the threaded bar it goes into the turbo which end do i move and oil

as in title.it says on my nanocom that i have 0.03 presure on tickover i was told long time ago my wastegate wasnt closing causing low end power loss ,does anyone know how to fix this

Well i couldnt resist it and my nanocom came today

This could be a interestin subject as i heard that nanocom may stop after this batch leaving the hawkeye

done the intercooler seeing as it dint cost me it was all clear but on the injector loom there is no oil in the conections but the cooper terminals on the injector have a black hard coating on them is that ment to be or should i scape it of may bad conection? any one know

Trying to find out why my defender is low on power ,changed MAF,injector rail loom,filters.It dont smoke at all not even a black puff! some one said the turbo intercooler needs cleaning is this correct? i cant tow a trailer and pull away on a slight incline with out max revs ,i have no nanocom to do checks but will when they arrive in country,all help much appreaciated

Hi on Defender TD5 2004 when i switch of my engine i noticed a strong smell of diesel .i have looked under the bonnet hoping to see a visible problem but its not as simple as our old 200tdi not sure where to start,, Regards Ray

I built a chalenge style truck 38" boggers ,arbs etc which wasnt realy road friendly any way,i have a 2004 90 bog standard farm truck no frills and took it out for a play Wow what reliable good fun it was,The Moral of this is, everyone on this forum one used to say keep it standard and enjoy it how right they were,i used to think i needed it all to offroad but its easy to get sucked in.I now enjoy my landy more than ever and have learnt its capabilites,,Which are well good, Regards Ray

On my 2004 TD5 90 in low box it feels flat untill power comes on strong cant get my head round it as the car is perfect in hi mode any one else had this problem

i went on saturday and i dont get a lot of time off ,had i gentle strole around (wanted a nanocom but didnt see any)had chinese, then we watched the off roading for aleast two hours and what a good show they put on, some kept us very amused,wish i did the course now as the standard landys coped very well indeed,It wasnt as big or bash as the other shows but it was ok and if we dont go they wont put them on i surpose,i will go next year as its closest to me about hour and haft

Hi ,it starts fine ,today no smoke but when it does it runs a bit lumpy till it clears

it only does it when cold or should i say while the revs are higher than normal like its on fast idle this goes after a minute or so then perfect.it doesnt smell oily more like haft burnt deisel
